Pomerol, terroir d’exception
Pomerol est un petit vignoble de 750 hectares situé au-dessus de l’Isle, un affluent de la Dordogne, au nord-est de Bordeaux. Pomerol est une commune sans village mais qui dispose d’un terroir grandiose permettant l’élaboration de très grands vins. Les graves y sont d’une grande richesse et les conditions hydriques sont parfois exceptionnelles. Merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet-sauvignon et malbec sont les principaux cépages de cette appellation qui ne produit que des vins rouges. Ces derniers sont fruités, structurés, complexes, charpentés, ils ont l’avantage de s’apprécier dès leur jeunesse mais prennent une formidable tenue avec un allié, le temps. Petrus, vin mythique, est le plus célèbre des pomerols. D’autres noms comme Château L’Évangile, Château La Conseillante, Château Beauregard, Château Petit Village sont également de grandes pointures de Pomerol.
